What types of electricity grids are supported by the SGxxCX (-P2) inverters?

Applicable to: CX (P2)-Series

Updated over a week ago

The types of electricity grids supported by CX (P2) inverters are TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT. The following figure shows the common grid configuration.

Important Voltage Considerations for Power Grids

In a TT power grid, the N-PE (Neutral to Protective Earth) voltage should be kept below 30V. When an inverter is connected to an IT grid (i.e., without a Neutral line connection), there is a potential risk of single-phase overvoltage or undervoltage, as well as issues with single-phase high or low voltage ride-through.

How is this done?

With the OT/DT Terminal connection to AC Junction box of the inverter:

Warning: Do not connect the phase wires to "PE" terminal or PE wire to "N" terminal. Otherwise, unrecoverable damage to the inverter may follow.

Follow the instructions provided by the user manual.

This manual is intended for professional technicians who are responsible for installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of inverters, and users who need to check inverter parameters. The inverter must only be installed by professional technicians.

The professional technician is required to meet the following requirements:

  • Know electronic, electrical wiring and mechanical expertise, and be familiar with electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Have received professional training related to the installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.

  • Be able to quickly respond to hazards or emergencies that occur during installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.

  • Be familiar with local standards and relevant safety regulations of electrical systems.

  • Read this manual thoroughly and understand the safety instructions related to operations.
