The newest 3-phase Hybrid is a grid connected inverter with powerful backup function (full backup)

For information on loads which have been tested to work when connected to the backup port of the inverter under off-grid scenarios, see tables 1 and 2.

However, Sungrow does not recommends connecting the whole customer house directly to the backup port of the 3-phase Hybrid.

During on-grid operation, the backup loads are supplied by the grid through the inverter grid port. By connecting the whole house behind the backup, the number of inductive/capacitive loads that cloud cause over-current/over-load fault is much higher. If loads with high start-up current are connected, the backup breaker will likely open causing the shutdown of backup loads, even in normal on-grid operation.

We recommend one chosen load per phase so 3-4 loads in total to be selected as backup loads during installation.

  • Read this manual thoroughly and understand the safety instructions related to operations.
