Solving Load control mode (DO) setting of SHT inverters

Applicable to SHT series

Updated over a week ago

The inverter is able to switch off the Digital Output (DO) port by managing load control through various modes.

The remote setting interface, depicted below, encompasses three essential modes: Timing Mode, Instant Mode, and Power Optimization Mode.

Through iSolarCloud website: remote setting

  1. After logging with your account, select on the left bar "Settings", and then inside this tab, select the plant and click on "Common Parameter Settings". Note that the Initial Grid should have been Already set.

2. In the Common Parameter Settings, navigate to "Energy Management Parameters", and on "DO Configuration" select "Load Control Mode" as in Fig.2.

Once the Load Control Mode has been selected, it will ask to specify which of the three modes shown in Fig.3.

Load Control Modes descriptions and parameter setting:

  1. Timing Mode: This mode allows for scheduled control of the connected load. Users can define specific time intervals during which the connected load is switched on or off, offering a strategic approach to power management, particularly during designated hours of the day.

    • In a certain time period, the DO port is enabled

    Fig.4.

  2. Instant Mode: The inverter allows users for immediate control for switching of the connected load. This flexibility empowers users to manually activate or deactivate the load as needed.

    • Directly set whether the DO port is open or closed.

    Fig.5.

  3. Power Optimization Mode: Here, the inverter employs intelligent decision-making to optimize power consumption based on specific parameters.

    • Set the start and end time and the specified power value. When the grid-feed-in power reaches the set power value, the DO port function is automatically enabled within the specified time period. The DO port will remain enabled (switch closes) for 20 minutes before checking whether the grid-feed-in power still meets the condition.

To trigger the Power Optimization Mode, two conditions should be met at the same time:

    1. The grid feed-in power should be greater than the load power set in Intelligent Mode.

    2. At this time, the battery should be in the charging state.

In that case the DO switch will close and the controllable load will be activate.

To finalize and confirm these adjustments, remember to apply the settings.
