Fault Code 714: BMS Communication Fault

Applicable to all hybrid inverters

These faults apply to the following sungrow products:

  • SBR096/128/160/192/224/256

  • SBH100/150/200/250/300/350/400

  • SH3.0RS/SH3.6RS/SH4.0RS/SH5.0RS/SH6.0RS

  • SH5.0RT/SH6.0RT/SH8.0RT/SH10RT

  • SH5T/6T/8T/10T/12T/15T/20T/25T

In the event of Fault Code 714 being informed through the App, the following corrective measures shall be taken:

Code 714 (BMS Communication Fault):

Fault name

BMS Communication Fault (Code 714)

Fault type

Failure shutdown

Fault condition

Communication cable between the battery and the inverter is disconnected; communication terminal of the battery or inverter have a weak contact

Steps and method of troubleshooting

1. Check whether the communication cable and cable connection terminal are abnormal, and correct them if so*.

2. Reconnect the energy meter communication cable.

3. If the fault is not caused by the foregoing reasons and still exists, please contact Sungrow Service.
